Fast Ox Gasification Plant
Designed the electrical power system for a new research plant including 3 MCCs, a main MDP, several distribution blocks, a controls room, with a 12.47 kV interconnect down to LV distribution.
Specified all power equipment and completed the construction package including the electrical contractor's scope of work and evaluated equipment suppliers and installation bids.
Electrical design passed all AHJ criteria.
We also designed a Test-Rig controls system for a burner management system.
Beale Airforce Base - Pave Paws - CA
Designed an electrical remodel for the Pave Paws radar site in Beale Airforce Base, complied with several regulatory requirements with the Army Corps (USACE) and the Airforce among others.
Remodel included critical equipment, several MCCs, MDPs, Transformers, backup generation, down to distribution panels, we also drafted the architectural layout.
Our designed was reviewed and approved by several layers of quality control agencies within the government and we delivered precision work.
This included construction support, equipment and installation specs, as-built RFIs and several other tasks.
DuPont MECS - Sulfuric Acid Catalyst Plant - Martinez, CA
2 year contract for electrical power design engineering and some controls assignments to stop a 70+ million dollar / year production plant from tripping. We did it, after just over the 1st year, the operations engineers said: The plant hasn't tripped in a while and we used to have a lot of power trips before you came in.
We did extensive root cause analysis. We also updated the DuPont safety standards as it pertains to the site in collaboration with the on-site management.
